Lloyd S. Cohan

Passed away in 1992, the first day of the year actually after a long battle of Leukemia. With his wife by his side, my grandfather left a world of people that knew him would end up missing him dearly as well. Julie his wife, a great person and friend that I've grown to love as a mother has helped me understand what kind of a man my grandfather was that I never got to learn from him. At his memorial service, many people attended to share their thoughts and expressions of love and for me doing this site is one way I feel I can do that same thing. I just hope I do him justice by what I write and say about him.

At his memorial service and on his prayer card, these were the words written on the paper..

In Loving Memory:

Lloyd S. Cohan

Your optimism encouraged us,
Your humor delighted us,
Your curiosity excited us,
Your intelligence challenged us,
Your courage strengthened us.

You stimulated, cajoled, coaxed
And bullied us to be more
Than we thought we could be.

Never measure the
height of a mountain
until you have reached the top.

Then you will see how low it was.
