Character History

History:

Born into the military caste on the Elysian home world, Elysia Prime, Torias knew from an early age that his life was that for military.  His childhood was that of drills, seminars and higher education of tactical readiness.  His parents, Sazon and Moria, knew there youngest son was destined to bring honor to the Elysian people when he received his letter of ascension, a letter telling a select few they would go beyond their caste, Torias letter called him from military into Elysian Intelligence where he excelled under the watchful eyes of Jensen Caval, who instructed Torias in the art of becoming a Intel officer.

When he reached the age of merit, roughly the year a child hits eighteen, Torias joined the united fleet and with the help of Jensen he was soon in the united fleet Intelligence.  Starting slowly as a low level attaché to an ambassador on Primis.  He hated Primis and everything about it, the planet while might be paradise to humans, to him it was an insult to his Elysian way. He said nothing though, the honor of serving in his caste was to great, nor could he give his family dishonor.

Primisans lived opulent, going excessive with everything they did.  They enjoyed far to much wine and when they consumed enough wine they turned to each other for physical comfort. Dinner parties would turn into sexual masquerades of conquest.  Something the Elysian did not share, he was here on a duty, he with the United Fleet delegation looked on and most of the time turned to the embassy where they tried to figure out what they were to achieve here.

He served there for five years; finally he was given the rank of lieutenant and served as command over the intelligence office for the United Fleet's Ambassador James Scott. Whom Torias felt nothing for, being Intelligence give you a higher understanding those you worked with and served and his opinion of Ambassador Scott was one was he indulged in to much wine and had far to many concubines here on Primis, he wondered if the Fleet knew of how much Scott was becoming like the Primisians.

Finally, a transfer came through and Torias was chosen to be the Intelligence Officer aboard a United Fleet starship, the Octavia, which was in route to Primis now.

Special Notes: Torias is of the species called Elysian, their home world, Elysia Prime, is on the fringe of United World space.  The Elysian are mysterious in nature; appearing more human but there blood isn't red as humans it's black.  Elysian males have a natural scent, which smells like caramel dipped apples.  Also, they have begun showing the next stage in their evolution, touch telepathy.  They have to be in contact with a living being, not plants or animals to receive the images rather then thoughts.  Usually it happens so fast it's a blur, but some have trained to respond the images at a quicker rate, as Torias has, but they aren't constant, they come when they want, almost like a premonitions.

Elysian are a three-caste trinity society, Military, Religious and Service Caste.  The Caste Trinity, governs Elysia Prime by a council of nine members, three from each caste, the council is called The Arc Council.

There is only one prominent deity in the Elysian faith, Valen, the first Elysian.  Leader of the Great War and great hero of the Elysian people.  To speak ill of Valen is punishable by civil order, to renounce him as the first is punishable by death.
