Character History

History:

Only child, Fry was born in Caprica City to Charles and Vivienne Riddley but raised in Picon where her parents worked at the Colonial Fleet Headquarters. Fry's father was a flight mechanical instructor while her mother was an aide for a high-ranking level Fleet Commander.

She grew up surrounded by engines and ships' projects and it was not really a surprise to her parents when she decided to enlist in the fleet after high school. Fry's mother wasn't exactly happy with Fry's choices but she faked well and gave her only child support all way through training. Charles, Fry's father, didn't live long enough to see Fry complete her training though. Charles was killed during an accident with an experiment engine for a new Viper.

Fry excelled during training and her first assignment was aboard the Battlestar Atlantia. Almost two years later, Fry was transferred to the Galactica and it was like a dream coming true. She fell in love with the ship and its staff. Fry was assigned to the Deck Crew Five under supervision of Chief Tyrol and like all those who worked with the Chief, she admired him. Time changed things and her admiration became a crush and then love. Fry never acted on her feelings. She didn't have the guts to do it. She dated other guys for a while but her heart always belonged to Chief Tyrol.

When Fry finally found the Chief was in love and dating Lt. Sharon Valerii, she realized she was just fooling herself and she should move on. Easier said then done though. A young lieutenant JG and Viper pilot started flirting with Fry but she wasn't interested. The man didn't take no for an answer and continued to insist until Fry lost and broke his nose when he made a pass on her. A following investigation resulted in Fry's discharge from the fleet. She was known for her tempestuous personality and hot temper, and the investigators believed in the lieutenant who stated that Fry was unstable and had hit him for no reason.

Kicked out of the Galactica, Fry got a job as mechanic in a Civilian Freighter. She worked there for six months prior to the first Cylon attacked. The Freighter was away from the combat zone and ended up joining the ragtag fleet put together by President Roslin under the Galactica's protection. She continued to work at the Freighter until the Galactica lost several crew members in the first Cylon's attacks and was forced to replace them by some rookies and other civilians' workers. At first, Fry didn't want to get back but when Chief Tyrol personally asked her to, Fry simply couldn't say no.

Psychological Information:

Fry is a very resilient and determined young woman. She loves her job and doesn't do anything without her full attention. Explosive, Fry is driven by her emotions more than by reason. She is usually very kind and friendly but if someone hurts anyone she cares about, better get out of her way because she will rage like a river. Fry is very protective of her friends.

She is mouthy, sarcastic at times and likes to joke around. Fry enjoys dating and flirting with guys but her heart belongs to just one man: Chief Tyrol.

Special Notes: Fry likes to work on engines or just hang around the flight deck when she can't sleep. She talks when she is sleeping and has the picture of her parents inside a locket that she carries around her neck. She doesn't like to talk about her parents.
