| Timeline of Events 0-1000: Mankind founded on Kobol. Prehistory of Kobol. c. 1000: Oral traditions of the Thirteen Tribes written down to form the Book of the Word. 1000-2100: Age of Philosophers. Book of the Lords composed. c. 2200: Industrial Age begins on Kobol. 2705: Exodus from Kobol. 2710: Colonies founded. Era of Darkness begins. 4310: First Planet War on Caprica, half of the population is decimated. 4365: Sagitara attacked by an unknown enemy. Fears of "alien" invasions plague the planet, scientific research is tripled. 4479: Academy at Caprica founded. Space travel reinvented. Scientific renaissance begins. 4483: First class of nine Warriors graduate from the Academy at Caprica. 4494: First lunar landing on moon of Caprica. Sagitara and Virgon also send their first persons into space. 4497: First interplanetary satellites record data from planet Piscon. Capricans discover human life outside of their world. Later probes validate this discovery and find eleven worlds among three star systems inhabited. Initial shock sets space travel back several years. 4498-4504: Minor wars on Caprica with two forces opposing each other. The Circassian League wants to attack and conquer the other inhabited planets, the Caprican Movement wants to approach and become allies with the neighboring planets. 4505: The Circassian League, after suffering heavy losses, develops colony ships to flee the planet. Altogether, 4 million Circassian people leave Caprica in 9 colony ships. 4506: Contact is lost with the Circassian colony ships, presumed lost or dead. 4511: Capricans and Sagitarans initiate "First Contact". 4511-4808: Interim period. All planets begin to exchange information and technology. Major information revolution begins with ideas and thoughts flowing through the twelve colonies. Talk begins of Colonial Unification. 4808: Contact between the Twelve Colonies reestablished. 4808: First Colonial free trade zones set up with Virgon, Caprica and Sagitara becoming a major zone called V.C.S. 4812: V.C.S. becomes an alliance, monetary union achieved, border stations closed between the three planets, common language invented called Colonial Common. 4868: Academy at Caprica opened to students not of the ruling politician class. 4887: V.C.S. becomes the Unified Colonies government, Virgon, Caprica, Sagitara, Taura, Aquaria and Piscon are the members. 4920: Students from colonies other than Caprica admitted to the Academy. 4980: Ultra-light-drive invented. The Long Peace begins. 4998: Quorum of the Twelve is established. 4998: All remaining colonies link to the Unified Colonies government, including Gemoni, Canceria, Leo, Libra, Aeriana and Scorpio. Colonial unification finally complete. 5000: The size of the Graduating Class at the Academy reaches 10,000. 5160: Cybernetic revolt. Colonial code passed limiting artificial intelligences. 5210-5410: Colonial "Golden Age". The height of literature, art and culture in the colonies, most colonies enjoying raised standard of living and more free time. The Colonial fleet explores and maps thousands of new star systems and 50 colonies are established. 5220: The prison on the asteroid Proteus is established. 5225: First human contact with the Hasaris, an amphibious race. 5547: The Hasaris fall prey to a Cylon invasion. First human-Cylon contact, when combined human forces came to the defense of their allies, the Hasaris. The thousand years Great Cylon War begins. 5655: Hasari Nation dead, Colonial losses began to swell to the millions as the colony planets of Isis, Lora and Tulan III are destroyed by the Cylons. 5770: The Presidium is reinstated on Caprica. 5856: Cylon Empire controls a major portion of the sector that the colonies are in... Colonial losses reach a staggering 45 million since the war began with the planets Lorraine, Argo and Perseus lost to the Cylons. 5955: Colonial Fleet begins to redesign ships, weapons and training facilities to cope with Cylon attacks. Massive amounts of money spent on military spending. 6250: First Battlestar commissioned. 6392: Discovery of Carillon. 6455: Colonial possessions amount to the 12 original Colonies, plus 5 "outer" planets... total population is 195 billion. 6470: Cygnus is taken by the Cylons 6552: Battlestar Bellephon destroyed. 6559: Battlestar Prometheus destroyed. .6562: Battlestar Galactica destroys Cylon outpost on Naytar. 6568: Battlestar Olympia destroyed. 6568: The Battle of Cosmara Archipelago. A surprise attack on the Fourth Colonial Fleet. Commander Kronus and the Battlestar Rycon destroyed three basestars. During the battle, the Rycon and Fourth Fleet were destroyed. 6569: The Battle of Molecay. Molecay, its inhabited moon, and the entire Fifth Fleet were destroyed. Commander Cain and the Battlestar Pegasus were reported lost with the Fifth Fleet. 6570: Battlestar Argo destroyed. 6570: Count Baltar went to the Council of Twelve, and stated that the Cylons wanted an end to the Thousand Years War. He began to sue for peace with the Cylon Empire. 6570: Final Destruction of the Colonies by the Cylon forces. President Adar had the five surviving Battlestars rendezvous at the old moon, Cimtar, to meet with delegates from the Cylon Empire. Instead, the Fleet was greeted by the largest military armada ever assembled in recorded history. The Galactica, which contained the major government officials, was the first to be destroyed. The Columbia and Solaria were soon to follow, and the Pacifica was also thought to be destroyed. Aboard the Atlantia, the Commander realized that the Colonies were unprotected and set sail for them. Over 67 billion Colonials were killed in the Holocaust. 6570: Battlestar Galactica destroyed. 6570: Battlestar Columbia destroyed. 6570: Battlestar Solaria destroyed. 6570: Battlestar Pacifica thought to be destroyed. 6570-6572: Battlestar Atlantia leaves over 20 billion humans to fend for themselves. Battlestar Pacifica enters orbit over Caprica in time to save the colonies from an invasion force, then is taken into dry-dock for major repairs... all other Battlestars destroyed. 6575: Tina Atrakis elected President for an unheard of 10 years term, Colonies begin to rebuild. New weapons and ships explode into the scene with major advances in shielding and laser technology. United Colonial Worlds formed. 6578: Refugees from the defunct Delphian Empire ask for asylum, only 200,000 survive from an empire once containing over 50 billion living beings. 6580-6585: Dozens of planets are recovered from Cylon Empire, millions of refugees pour into the United Colonial Worlds from surrounding empires: 2 million from Tucana League, 1 million from Orion Empire, 500,000 from secret home world of New Hasari, 200,000 from Delphian Empire, 30,000 Ovions from Carillon, and 700,000 various Alien species. 6587: "First Contact" with the Circassian Empire. The Empire is formed of human descendants of the Circassian League from Caprica, who fought against the Caprican Movement from 4498 to 4504, in an attempt to conquer the other colonial worlds. Battlestars Excelsia and Athenia severely damaged. 6588: Relations with the Circassian Empire turn sour... threat of a new war with a human empire... Twenty planets recovered from Cylon territory... Cylons ask for peace, and a neutral zone is set up between the United Colonial Worlds and the Cylon Empire. Six Battlestars now commissioned: Athenia, Spartica, Excelsia, Corinthia, Lemuria, and Millennia. Two new Colonial Super Battlestars (Titanic-Class) are built: Titania and Olympia, and a third, the Atlantia, is on it’s way to being decommissioned. 6589: First Star Fortress built in orbit around Caprica, dozens more planned for various planets and for guarding the neutral zone. 6700: The 12 colonies were attacked by the Cylons, all the planets were destroyed and the Atlantia was forced to flee with a fugitive fleet following. 6701: The Atlantia gets stuck in a singularity and is assumed dead with all the crew. The fleet moved on to an inhabitable planet and made it's new home, Caprica. 6808: The Cylons show their faces again after 100 years and make peace with the planets. 6823: The first Sentient Starship is born, and they soon make contact with other races, the Unified World, they named it, was growing. 6880: One of the planets they discovered where a species called the Magog, a war like species that tried to destroy everyone. That started a war that has never eneded. 6956: The Nietzscheans a subspecies race that was made by Capricans to fight against the Magog. 7242: The Nietzscheans started a war for their freedom, working with the Magog and several other plantets, that started a civil war. 7498: The war almost wiped out the Unified Planets, but in the end the enemy's were defeated and peace once again rained. 7701: The Starship Shepies found the Atlantia and the crew was rescued from a thousand year sleep. |
