Loves to fly and hates being on the ground for too long.  If he is ever grounded for too long his irritation can get the better of him.

History:
Brent was born to a military family and raised to be a military man.  While his father had been a marine, Brent chose to fly.  The reason was clear to his family, so they never challenged his decision.  When Brent was a child he had been taken flying and showed a natural aptitude for the mechanics and controls of the plane.

As his parents continued to take him on plane rides he was able to help fly by the age of nine.  He learned how to tell what the planes could handle and what they could not.  By the age of twelve he had received lessons and even been allowed to co-pilot old war planes to get the feel for them.  When he reaches the age of fifteen he was certified as a pilot.

Though piloting was a passion of his, he was also academically sound in many other ways.  His marks in school were always well above average and he showed an aptitude for mechanical and scientific fields.  By the time he reached the age for college he was given a full scholarship and proceeded to pursue multiple majors.  Upon graduating he joined the Air force and became a pilot.  Even though this was his primary job it did not hinder his studies into science and engineering.  He was even allowed to enhance his own plane, if only slightly.

The drive to succeed and his tendency to focus on multiple areas of study was sometimes too much.  There were multiple days he did not sleep and therefore his performance was hindered.  His commanders noticed this and informed him he needed to adjust accordingly or he’d lose his wings.  Brent began to spend less time with his studies until he found the appropriate balance.  His tendency to slip into studies only caught him a reprimand once more and has yet to happen again.

His exemplary record as first a pilot and then a squad leader brought him to the attention of the mars project.  Upon being asked to assume the position of CAG, he immediately agreed.  This would be a chance to be around the cutting edge technology and have his own command.  He knew it would be a challenge to be so far away from his friends and family, but he was more then willing.
